Playa Colorada

We are proud to share with you our first beach acquisition at Playa Colorada (Colorado Beach), located in the the Costa Arriba of Colon, Panama.

Playa Colorada is one of the most  important nesting grounds for sea turtles in Panama. The quantity of sea turtle nests in the Costa Arriba declined fast over the last decades, mostly because of human predation due to egg collecting, meat consumption and carapace exploitation. To save the sea turtles we are protecting this unique habitat at this unique beach.

Currently we are in the process of starting our sea turtle protection program together with the university of Amsterdam, the University of Toronto and the local people living in the village of Santa Isabel.
